In this season of giving, I am reaching out to gar

In this season of giving, I am reaching out to garner support for an organization that I am only associated with through friendship.

Most of you have met my dear friend @kylesdwania , who was one of the 13 children that desegregated the Memphis public school system when she was in first grade. Her story and experience inspired her to form an organization geared toward change.

The @memphis13foundation is making great strides in Tennessee.

But they need our help. She needs our help.
If you can make a contribution this holiday season, it will be greatly appreciated and used to continue the work.

There is a 30 minute documentary on the Memphis 13 in the link, I’m about to provide. But I’d recommend watching it on a bigger screen. Those little first graders, who through their innocence, became part of !

This past Friday, it was an absolute treat to visit my hometown, Pittsburgh, PA, for a wonderful gathering at the @augustwilsonculturalcenter Annual Gala, where I was honored with the organization’s Luminary Award!

I’ve felt that truth my entire life.
